The Tamahere Community Centre is a joint project between the Tamahere Community, Tamahere Model Country School and Waikato District Council.

The Centre was opened on 20th August 2006. It is located adjacent to the Tamahere Model Country School.

The Tamahere Community Centre is a modern, state-of-the-art, flexible-use community centre.

The Tamahere Community Centre is governed by a committee of local volunteers, whose aim is to ensure the centre gets maximum usage from the community, continues to have further facilities and features developed and is well maintained for future generations to enjoy.

Typical uses of the centre include, large and small social functions, indoor sports and recreation including; bowling, indoor soccer, school activities, school assemblies, dance, general meeting venue, community events such as Balls, fairs and expos.
